Buenos Aires, November 15 (NA) -- President Javier Milei criticized the specialized editorial Errepar this Saturday, accusing it of being the origin of an 'operetta' regarding the potential elimination of the Monotributo and changes to the Income Tax, based on a technical article published this week.
The head of state stated that the editorial orchestrated the 'operetta' on the Monotributo and income tax, referring to the note titled 'Goodbye to the Monotributo and a new scheme for the self-employed?', published on November 13. In that article, Errepar reported that the Executive is studying the migration of 3 million Monotributo contributors to the general regime with a new scheme of deductions, unifying the Minimum Non-Taxable Income for Income Tax, and reducing employer contributions by 8 percentage points.
According to the publication, the measures arise from 'internal documents and meetings with the private sector,' which aim to advance 'the formalization of the economy, the boost to the capital market, and the sustainability of the pension system.' The note details that the initiative contemplates the potential elimination of the Simplified Regime (Monotributo), with the transfer of its taxpayers to the Self-Employed regime and modifications in fees, expense deductions, VAT minimum threshold, and a unified Minimum Non-Taxable Income for Income Tax, among other aspects. It also mentions labor incentives, such as the reduction of employer and personal contributions for new hires.
